Howdy guys,

I didn't remember reading anything about eater on /.
A quick search found it - LINK.

I'm quite pleased with the comments so far. Only a few people have called it racist (and they get shot down pretty quick) and a few are saying "but what if the scammer is just paying someone else to pose, or what if blah blah blah".
My favourite comment so far is that NurseNasty posted it himself to boost advertising revenue. (Someone should tell BiGal)

Someone thought it was for advertising revenue? haha... Yes I am sure we'll make millions out of it and retire to Fiji. Rolling Eyes

That's Slashdot's purpose. It's called marketing. Scammers need exposure, and so does what we do. I submitted it to raise the profile of scambaiting. You can't sit on your arse these days... Get it out there.

In regards to comments I never go back to read them. Mostly it's all a bit blah.. blah..

If I don't read it. It doesn't exist.

The /. comments were relatively enlightened, compared to what you sometimes see about baiting.

The funniest negative comment (for me) was the guy complaining that it wasn't a very good comic, apparently missing the whole point about how it was created! Like the advertising revenue guy, he was also soundly shot down.

Overall, a very well deserved positive response, and the exposure has probably educated a lot of people about scams and baiting.
