I need ideas for abused Cat name....

I know we have lots of cat lovers....so help me name this kitty that I stole.

Yes...I am officially a catnapper!

I am visiting Arkansas, and I want to fly this kitty home to NYC where I will get him care and find him a good home.

Kitty is male... 6 months old.
White and gray - long hair.
Green eyes.

When he was a few weeks old, the donkey at the farm got hungry. It ate his siblings and this kitten survived. He is missing 1/2 ear, 1/2 tail, 1 back leg, 1 testicle.

Then about a month ago, he was hit by a car.

He's never seen a vet. The bone in his hip (the side where he has a back leg) is protruding from the skin. He's suffering.

Full of ticks and fleas.

I have officially stolen this cat and am leaving in 10 minutes to take him to the vet.

Got name ideas?

I've been given a few and am thinking of 7of9 since he has lost 2 of his lives. But he's male....

That's ok, right?

Anyone have any other ideas? This is going to be one hell of an expensive cat! He's going to need major surgery and it's tricky to get him flown from AR to NYC!

Oh and get this - the farmer threw a fit that I stole the cat.......but now they are ok - someone else had a cat and gave their daughter a new kitten. So all is well now - - they have a fresh one to neglect. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR (And it's not like they didn't have any cats - the farm is full - but the daughter wanted a kitten since the donkey ate all the other kittens!)

I use to call our big red male cat "drol" (yes that's dutch) but i think 7of9 is a better name.

I have no idea what to name it, but you are an awesome human being for helping it. I may be a tad grumpy on the outside, but I have a soft spot for animals on the inside.

Edit: I'll be happy to donate a few bucks for the vet or travel bills.

In a way, "Lucky" might work, but in another way, "Unlucky" might be better. How kind of you to take him in.

All kidding aside, I'll suggest a name. Our Yorkie is named Scout, after the character in "To Kill a Mockingbird".

I just got a bit nostalgic and looked up some favorite quotes...I dont know why I am such a softie today.

The family legend was that he was rescued from a chimney.
I remember him vaguely as a kind tempered but missing bits of ear etc
Actually he did look a bit like Greebo

What you are doing is admirable. I have two rescue cats, one of whom is parked in front my screen right now and another I brought back from Korea at considerable expense.

I am hoping that the vet will report the previous owner to the Humane Society. I don't know about the laws in Arkansas but where I live animal abuse is a felony.

I thought that this was a joke thread at first, because there is a joke about a dog. I respect you ED for taking on this situation.

We have a <strike>cat</strike> Overlord of the House that is named Lucky. He wandered into our life with injuries as a kitten. He had puncture wounds along his spine like a raptor had picked him up as a meal. We found care for him and he ended up owning our home.

What to call the kitten, I don't know that wouldn't be seen as offensive to some. I am thinking Half Fast.

Thanks to Pastor Frank....

The kitten gets a new vet appointment tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. to get the x ray and examination to find out what surgery will have to be done and the estimate on the surgery.

Thank you SOOOOOO MUCH Pastor Frank (he called the vet's office directly and paid for the next visit!)

@Paranoid - -I know - this sounds like a bad joke as how the hell does a donkey eat a box of kittens? But it happened -- can't make this crap up.

I'll post pics of the guy later. I sent them to pastor frank - but they compromise my identity - so I have to fix them before I can share them here.

A name, hmm, ours was named Katzo (after the German word "Katze" meaning "cat", and the Italian "cazzo").

What about Ninjin? It's the Japanese word for carrot.

"Lucky" seems appropriate, too.

If the kitty had been a she I would have suggested Katy Kitten in memory of my baby with recently passed away aged 14.
