I detest begging letters, so I slapped him.

Dear happy day to you
top of the day to you,i am omorowa odaro a liberian.

i left liberia during the war for benin republic where i
got my self a little job[selling of cloths.

i sold between the boarders of benin republic
and nigeria.i was doing fine until suddenly one mr chuckwu
petitioned me on why i was selling cloths between these two boarders .

i told him i wasn,t ready for his talk that i am a west
african and that i have my own legal right and he is wrong, also he should think twice before he reacts to certain people .

before i could realize anything i was taken over and bitten by nigerian police who latter took me to kirikiri prison[where i am till date.

here yu have alot of innocent people mainly from other
countries.i hooked up my self with some
people inside the prison who promised to give me a lawyer
and they did.i told and explained every thing to the lawyer[named
lawal.

he told me not to worry and that he will help me,the lawyer
is such a good person.we went the first time to court and the case
was adjouned till 19th which the lawyer said will be the final court
ruling.

the lawyer said my bailing fee will be 2,500 dollas,please
help with anything to get me out of jail please,nothing is
too small,your contribution will help save my life.

my writing this mail is to appeal to well meaning individuals to please assist me in getting out of this prison and going back to liberia which
i know has settled.

Hello Mr Omorowa Odaro;

Either prisons in Nigeria have advanced far beyond what I last seen
there(which I am in doubt of), or you are telling a complete bullshit
story. How gullible do you think westerners are? If you have time to
go to a computer cafe and write up bullshit stories, at least you
should be able to write someting plausable. If you need money, get a
job. I have conections in Nigeria that can and will put you to work.
Do not spend money in a cyber cafe trying to gull honest and usually
hard working people out of their rightfully earned money. Go home,
get your head on straight, apply for a good job and get yourself to
work. Earn the right to call yourself a man. God rewards those who do
right, God rewards those who help themselves rather than rewarding
the able that beg. I suggest you get yourself right with God to
attone for your lies.

Normally, they never fully read the first return letter...I see several big slaps coming if he answers Razz

Any Revs or priests like me to send him to them if he answers? I plan to harp on the "get right with God" theme with him if he does. Laughing

Hmmm...I wonder if the Oilator company is still in business there?

i wonder what will come out of this one. also notice they only ask $300 USD compared to the usual larger fees.

i guess they figure playing on peoples emotions is more effective than promising money? Wink

@ Jaybee, yeah, I was wondering if the Nigerian police usually bite their detainees......I'll have to ask about that one Laughing

Not...I think the guy is probably new at this. Was a pretty poor excuse for a scam.

Jail time in Nigeria must not be too bad if they give you Internet access
to scam from. Maybe thats how they let you work off the fine.
Here in the states they go to extreme lengths to keep inmates from accessing the net .

I got this as well. I replied that I had sent $400 to Amnesty International to help fight human rights violations in Nigeria.

But the "bitten by the police" was the funniest part.
