Hrmm.... I've created several gmail accounts for baiting and I was about to create another one but when I got to the mobile number verification page this time it said "This phone number has already created the maximum number of accounts. Please use another number. "

Phooey! are there any other safe email accounts like gmail?

Fastmail is used by a fair number of baiters although it lacks the capacity of gmail.
Added bonus is the choice of various email domains.

This topic came up a while ago, we also discovered that if you click the back button when asked for a phone number and try to sign up again with the same information you can usually get through without one after a few tries.

Yes, sometimes Gmail asks for an SMS capable number, and sometimes they don't. If at first you don't succeed, try try again seems to be the rule here.

If you keep having trouble, try creating the new gmail accounts from a different IP address. If you have dynamic IP addressing from your ISP, then turn off your modem for a while, and when you turn it back on again you should have a new IP address.

Alternately, try creating the gmail accounts somewhere else (a cafe for example).
