There is a genuine Ocean Finance in the UK. Someone could be impersonating them for a loan scam, but if so, why a warning without a scam email?

I don't think it's an angle, the warner advocates just hitting delete. Just reply that you're a baiter, maybe even mention that scamwarners.com offers a victim support function and that the warner is welcome to refer people to it if they like  |

These kinds of warnings are pretty common. Especially if a lad accidentally puts a bunch of addies in the To or CC, not BCC field. One of the recipients recognized it as a scam and decided to warn the rest.
If you search your old mail or spam for his address, you may find him along with yourself and a whole bunch of others in the To or CC of one of them.
If you're afraid it might be a probe from one of your ongoing baits, then just ignore it, otherwise you could send a thank you note. (Yes, some of us are paranoid enough to think such things.)
EDIT: The bad English might very well be due to the sender not being a native English speaker. |
