EDIT Or to "the church" so that his victims do not even start to think they can, or should, ever demand a thing back cause that would be stealing from a church? Rolling Eyes

I don´t know why but I quite don´t like this article. I can´t find no relief in reading this, only more anger. I better not type now for an hour or two.

^^ It's probably 50/50 wther the victims will get thier cash back from his church - unfortunately, some Nigerian churches are as corrupt as some of the other institutions over there.

It's interesting that the lad gave the proceeds of his crime to his church and it probably can't be viewed as a charitable act. Many church-going Nigerians have a strong attitude to tithing seeing it as one of the main ways to gain access to Heaven - you're literally paying your way into Paradise. They don't see tithing as a charitable act either - it's viewed as a commandment. There's really no difference between this lad and the lad who spends stolen cash on a fast car as he was still buying something to further his own interests.
It does illustrate how a lad can consolidate his crime with his religion though - he breaks one commandment to fulfill another that will be more beneficial to him.
