Dir. Usman Bello has had some problems picking up his money. First was the constant dollar chops. Then it was S3cur1ty Sh31ld. Then it was said dolla chopper hacking the system. Then it was me being arrested at Moneygram. You get the picture.

Now, however, the problem is MT7N Secure. My lad filled out the necessary forms to cancel it(see here), but now WU wants to ship the money to his address.

My lad, after warning me of death or bodily harm if I don't stop telling people about my fund, wants me to go W.U., and demand I transfer the money to S3ctr@ns, and get my money back. If that fails, I'm instructed to arrest the clerk. Laughing

I think he waited in the cafe until 1 or 2 AM Sunday morning, Accra time.

Around 5:00AM Accra time, I sent a message saying I was arrested.

Then, I let him stew for 18 and a half hours, and then sent him this newspaper clipping. Laughing

I had a lad once tell me to hire a lawyer and send him to the WU under similar circumstances, and you can imagine what kind of trouble hiring a lawyer stirred up! But it wasn't nearly as epic as this!

More important, myself and my lad are already preparing our legal defense. Step 1: Hire a lawyer. However, my lad has a detailed process for hiring legal help.

My plan now is to get more accounts if possible. Meanwhile, this will go two other ways: the lawyer will contact and try to get him to make a "statement" for evidence - on video if possible, but if not, a hand-written letter.

If my lad gets tired of trying to work the bank, there are two options: meet in person, or try to go to WU/Moneygram and break the bail conditions.. I don't think I'll get away with it. Laughing

First update: Last night, I introduced my lad to the lawyer.

I got the distinct impression that my lad is not impressed with the lawyer. He advised me that it might be in my best interest to find a new one and told me to "interrogate" him about his qualifications.

I am really hoping that my lad can pull through with the video camera. If not, I'll have to send it through post. If this happens, I'll also add the $500 to it, for "simplicity's sake". Sadly, with the video cameras today getting smaller and smaller, it becomes a lot easier to lose them in transit, or have them shipped to an adjacent country. Wink

Not exactly sure how certain it is that he can pull through. I'm optimistic, at least.
