Picking up from this thread, this will be a guided massbait! Guided massbaits encourage new baiters to come and join in, and are held out in the open so everyone can contribute and get fun from it. Please join the fun!

both of us saw the money first. This was quite an illegal thing to do, but I
tell you what? No compensation can make up for the risk we have taken with our
lives in this hell hole, Of which my brother in-law was killed by a road side

The above figure was given to me as my share, and to conceal this kind of
money became a problem for me, so with the help of a British Diplomat working
here and his office enjoys some immunity, I was able to move the money to a
Finance company in Asia as a diplomatic package. He did not know the real
contents of the package, and believes that it is family valuables belonging to a
medical doctor who died in a raid here in Iraq, and before giving up, trusted me
to hand over the package to his family. The Finance company are now waiting for
us to provide the name of beneficiary who they will transfer the funds to. The
reason I want you to claim the funds on my behalf is that as a soldier, I cannot
present a concrete evidence on how I made such a big amount of money down here.
Besides the US Government is trying their best to keep their eyes on soldiers

I love abusing these guys so count me in. I cut my teeth on a coordinated mass-bait.

With that one, the lad was offering insurance and a bunch of us decided to form the Tailwind Riders bicycle club. We looked to insure all kinds of outrageous bikes and kept him on the hook for several months. Would some kind of similar club/organization work here?

SECOND STEPS

OK - everyone go and get yourselves a nice fresh baiting email address and identity. It should be completely untraceable, so don't use your real-life details when signing up - make yourself a character or two - we're going to play-act as those characters! As this scammer is play-acting as a US soldier, we must play-act back to him, it's only fair.

I would like a range of email providers (gmail, hushmail, fastmail.fm, hotmail, etc - I suggest the newer members use GMail and hushmail, and older, more confident members use one of the other services - this is just in case we have an unusually technically literate lad who checks IP addresses for those feeling cautious). We want a range of addresses because one of our first goals is to get the lad away from GMail. We want scammers not to trust GMail, so we need a range of addresses ourselves!

Once you have addresses set up, *Trickle-feed* him (over the next 48 hrs) with an email along the lines of "I'm interested, what do we need to do?". You can include a couple of details about yourself, but keep it short, he won't read them! We will trickle-feed him so it feels natural, and he doesn't get 100 emails in 1 hour!

When you've done that, sit back and wait...

I'm in, please could you, if you haven't already sent him a message, hang on until tomorrow, pick a time. post it here, if you have sent him a reply, no reason not to send another from a different addie tomorrow or Sunday and again sometime next week. If you stall your first message you will be able to see his stock replies here then look at how you are going to avoid getting it (thus getting him off script)
but, first things first, let's see if he replies and then follow the lead of MBL and Titania.

BTW, anyone in the military knows that a Sgt is not an E-1, lol! Oddly enough this guy looks familiar, name does not ring a bell though. But he probably looks like half the Army anyway. I wonder if he knows his ID if being used for this?
