Now this almost makes me feel bad, but I had to stall the money gram thing.. so i emailed him this morning:

Hi Craig

my love. I am so scared. Im just home from the hospital. Michael
turned ill sunday night. He woke me up and was crying with pain. I
tried everything but nothing took his pain away. He was burning up
with fever, and was just lying in my arms crying. it was horrible.
Finally I had to call the ambulance and we were rushed to the
hospital. I stayed there with him all yesterday, and have been
there all night. Im just home now to get some of his cuddly-toys.
He was asleep when i left, and I hope he still is when I come back.
They gave him lots of medicine to make him sleep. Its awful babe. I
dont know whats wrong with him. They have done a lot of tests but
none of them have come back yet. They want to keep him there for I
dont know how long. All I know is im worried sick! Hes the only one
ive got left! I dont know what ill do if anything happens to him.
Please pray hes gonna be okay. Im trying to be strong and not to
show him Im worried. But it breaks my heart seeing him lie there in
the hospital bed. Hes only a little boy!!!
Thank you so much for your email love. When you said you would
stand like a rock and bend till you break.. I hope you mean that.
Cos I really need you to be a rock in my life now. I dont know if I
can do this on my own.
I have to hurry back to the hospital now. I will keep you posted.

Something I would mention to you, You asked him to come to your home for Christmas? You mentioned to us that your character is Jewish, so just in case if he asks you about it, you could tell him your husband was not so your Son knows what Christmas is and celebrated it with his Father?? Although , I noticed, he did not know that the children of a Jewish Woman are considered to be Jewish. He may not even know that Jewish people do not celebrate Christmas?? You have him going!! yes i didnt even think of that until AFTER I asked him. Luckily he didnt seem to know.. and he promised to come lol.
Have missed him online the last 2 days cos ive been at work. I mean at the hospital with my very ill son.. Smile

But told him Id bring my laptop so might be able to catch up today. Hope so!
He sent me another email last night, saying he was online. Then another one, actually the same one he sent both me and my friend earlier lol. He must be getting his scripts mixed up. The one where he said the smell of wildflowers reminded him of me... *sigh* L'amour!

These love scammers are the worst!! I just love to see them run ragged by baiters, TeeHee!! These scammers deserve the absolute worst. I like how he "preys"(prays) for you telling the angels to guard you!! " Yes those angels ARE guarding me, FROM YOU!!! " The more mistakes they make the better for the unsuspecting victim to see through their scams!!
This one's english & spelling is horrible!! Good going you have this one onthe hook!!! I could tell he started to worry when you asked him his address in CA. , the excuse he gave you for not applying for a loan was pretty bad, guess he's never heard of a second mortgage??? Him playing his own lawyer is a laugh too!! Hmmm, they both make the very same spelling/grammar errors !!! That lowyer gradiated at the very bottom of the clas!!!

A little update: My poor son Michael is in hospital, and im worried sick. So worried in fact, that I have been unable to go sort the moneygram thing out. Cos I just wont leave my son alone at the hospital:)

aww Im so sorry to hear that idetha. Dont pay him any more money. They know how to sweettalk you into trusting them. They use vulnerable people to get what they want, and its so sad hearts actually get broken on the way. Not to talk about the money people lose.

Idetha, don't be too hard on yourself. You have every right to be furious with the person who got your confidence and trust and then abused it. May I suggest a visit to our sister site, www.scamwarners.com? There are very helpful and understanding folks there who can help you with this situation. Some have been scam victims themselves (including victims of romance scams), and some just purely hate scammers and want to do what they can to help victims.

Does the Military have some special money transfer for soldiers?? Does Afganistan really have WU?? Perhaps your Father will have some sound advise on money transfers. He wants tje badmus to collect the money for him?? Wonder if he has a bank account that you could get , and then close it down!!! Just a word of caution here.

Don't ask for too many things that will be impossible for him to produce or to do. That is a sure way to lose the bait. He'll become uneasy with all the demands he can't fulfill, and he'll give you up as a bad job.

Better to ask for one thing, press just a little, and when he doesn't comply (or complies in a way that would surely cause a real victim to get suspicious), glide over the problem and go on to another request.

One of the aims of baiting is "de-education." Without being obvious about it, we try to train the lads to do something that would raise red flags and ring alarm bells for their potential victims. As we can't directly reach all the people targetted by scammers, we like to "tweak" the scammers' perception of Western culture and life and how folks in our culture think.

That being said, you're doing a great job so far. Very Happy

Can someone tell me more about the bank accout thing? Someone mentioned if i got his bank account details you might be able to close it down?? How does that work?
This is my first bait, and im loving all the help on this forum. Fake forms etc. its brill. But I dont know about the bank account thing.. help anyone?

DG, once you get bank account information, you copy emails that indicate you're dealing with a scammer (chat logs count as evidence, I believe), and send them - with any header information you have on him - to a mysterious person known to us only as Alan. Alan will see to it that the bank account gets flagged and closed.

Once the information is sent off to Alan, you wait a week or so and then complain to the lad that your bank told you there was a problem. You can take your time "finding out" from the bank just what the problem is, and it usually turns out to be that "the bank suspects the account of being involved in money laundering or terrorist activities." Or some such drivel - it doesn't matter much what you tell him, as long as it's not the truth. Wink

Then you get a nice little piggy in your siggy, and new baiters will ooh and aah in admiration of your baiting prowess.
