Looks like the pot is dwindling at the EFCC. The last offer I had was $1.5 million!

"In this regard a meeting was held between the Board of Directors of The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and as a consequence of our investigations it was agreed that the sum of ten thousand US Dollars (US$10,000) should be transferred to you out of the funds that Federal Government of Nigeria has set aside as a compensation to everyone who have by one way or the other sent money to fraudsters in Nigeria."

Well $10,000 is better than nothing... Sad

Pffft. A lad could (well it is possible Wink

) get that much for making a sign, digging a latrine, jumping in and having the latrine filled up. Hardly seems worth putting on fresh underwear for, but the dollar amount seems pretty good for a recovery scam.

Have you tried replying and telling him how insulted you are at the offer, that you were scammed out of much more than $10k? You just might get a I-made-a-typing-mistake reply and another figure with a few more zeroes.
