just had this from Augustina James and im wondering if the character is worth bothering with.....any takers?? im a little inexperienced lol

I haven't heard of that particular name, but this is a typical Orphan With Millions scam.

If you send the Lad a short sympathetic mail back, he will be be happy to correspond with you!

'She' will shortly introduce you to her lawyer (and/or pastor and/or banker) who will 'help' with the transfer of her millions to your bank account. The lawyer (or whoever) will require some fees before this goes ahead.

He's certainly a Lad worth bothering about. He might (like many Lads posing as Orphans or Refugees) be a little impatient and intolerant, though, so it is probably best to proceed slowly, make your character quite believable, and not to try for a 'funny' bait - just see how long you can stretch it out.

You can do it! Orphans like this are good early experiences!

cheers for that mate, i only wished id been a bit patient and read yr reply before i decided how to proceed, i decided on this, can you advise how you think it will go from here, do u think ill get a few other lads as takers too ha ha :::

Let me tell you more about my company, and me

oh, i forgot to mention, but im sure you'll pick it up, i taught "her" a phrase but gave her the wrong meaning, i also taught another a new one too, i have one called Amanda as well thats trying the obiedient love thing, poems and all that long abstract nonsense letters stuff, "she" thinks im rich and lonely with a ex wife who screwed me out of thousands, qanyway i taught her "catch 22" to mean "easily decided.
just going by the rules to teach them a new one !!! Very Happy

Well, you've certainly got a good idea there!

Scammers can be lazy readers (time = money), so several things could happen on receipt of such a mail:

1. They don't bother to read a word of it, but instead just send you their next 'script' letter; or

2. They get as far as 'We do not get involved in moving large sums of money around the world' - and hit Delete; or

3. They see the Money words, and think, 'Oh good, I'll have some of that!' and respond.

You might have to send it out dozens of times before you get a few Number 3 type Lads replying.

Of course, if you get some Next Script Letter replies, you can choose to alter your scenario a little, by answering this time in a 'personal' way, instead of representing your company. And decide later whether or not you can bring back in your 'sponsorship' idea. You might think it 'safer' (for the longevity of the bait) not to do this. Or you might think that the interesting twist would be worth the risk.

Glad you are having fun teaching them new meanings for familiar (to us) phrases. It is always most entertaining when they repeat them back in the new context. And one can hope that they repeat them lots to others!

One more thing: I love your company name. I tried Googling it, and it's perfect - brings up pages of results to convince any Lad, but, in actuality, none of the results have the three words all together.

In a little time, however, Google will bring up this thread as its Number One Result - so, to prevent that, you might want to edit your previous post to read B0yce Aut0 (ie with a zero instead of an 'o') so none of your future Lads find out that you are a baiter.

I'm with Branwen on this one.
From my (limited) experience, I think that you should play straight. You may get a bank account out of this.
Orphan lads seem to stick to their script but due to their inexperience they tend to hang on that little bit longer.
