reason i ask is vicki my gf twin brother was talking to a bloke over the internet last week bearing in mind he has never met him at all and couple of days later $800 turns up at his house in an envelope and he never told anyone at all about it friday last week he flew to heathrow airport stayed in a hotel in london paid for by this bloke then flew out to vegas next morning also paid for by the fella anyway he left his gf at home only told her limited info and never told any of the family about it at all 1st we heard was vicki's dad rang just asking if she had heard from him he rang his gf monday saying his flight was booked and he would be home by 2pm today but he was quiet and subdued on the phone and he is the sort of person that never shuts up always loud and cheerfull even at bad times so he didnt seem himself anyway and he was on the phone for literally seconds then said he had to go anyway his phone has been off since and no1 can get in touch and he aint returned home and now everyone is worried does anyone have any idea what could be going on or any advice i am truly genuine about this and everyone is very worried about what might of happened

This doesn't sound really scam-like to me... Lads won't usually send you $800, unless it's a fake cheque of course.

Sucks that your friend is so abnormally subdued, but I don't think this sounds like a scam. It does sound rather fishy though...

I think he applied for some porn modeling, had his flight payed and some $ in advance, but when he got there discovered it was gay/S&M/B&D/animal porn. So now he's all depressed because he's got to do the filming since he already got the money...
Who knows, maybe he'll even like it.

But here's an advice. Call the cops if you're worried.
