I saw this mentioned on on BBC Click:-

It seems rather dull to me .... anyone else using it ? ..... Lagos seems to be all sold out at the moment but I have made a bid for one street to see what happens.

..... what's the name of that express-way that everyone kept getting killed on a year or two ago ?

I hate to admit it, but I stayed up all night on the original start date to sign up. I haven't made a move in weeks, it is totally boring and a complete waste of time. I own most of Captiva Island, Florida, I'll sell you all of it for a buck, if you want it.

It seems all the streets in Lagos are taken, but I've made a offers to buy a few.

If I understand the rules correctly, if my offer isn't outbid or rejected within 7 days the street becomes mine.
