After much harrassment, I was able to get a phone number out of my my lad that is not a mobile number.

As this is my first, what is the best course of action?

You'll need alot of evidence in order to get these scumbags busted.
Possible corruption (by local authorities) is another thing to consider as is the protection of your RL info.
You may PM me the number if you like and I'll try to narrow it down to find the scammers details.
