Just got one Love scam (yay!) but unfortunately is on my RL mail. I usually respond to all scams from my Eater mail, even if the scams came to my RL mail. Can i adopt the same tactic with Love scams ? |

Yes, absolutely.
You won't be the only person the scammer has written to, so they won't notice that the reply has come back from a different address.
If the mail ends with 'colour or distance does not matter in life' etc, it is likely to be a Refugee With Millions that they wish to transfer to your bank account (for a fee), which, although has an added 'love interest' is really just another version of a standard 419 scam, and is sent out to any harvested email address.
If the mail has come in response to your profile/advert on a contact or friendship or penpalling or dating site, however, it is more likely to be an actual Romance Scam, in which your new love will later develop a financial need which only you can alleviate. That's more targetted, but you won't be the only target.
So, either way: freely bait from your character's account! |

I don't want to guess the number - But, lad, isn't that the best fun to be had with MoneyGram reference numbers? |

Welcome to Eater Bulanash.
The old tried and trusted simple reply back from a bait addy will work.

hi again,
Sorry I am late replying - was out of the country working.
I am back now and you sound so interesting, just what I'm looking for.
I hope you write back.
Regards (whoever) |

I only ever reply on Gmail, even if the original email comes in Hotmail, Yahoo, etc. Not one lad has ever noticed. They usually send out each email to hundreds of people. |

IF they notice, you can always tell them your real e-mail is your work addy & work monitors all your computer activity often so you have to use your g-mail account or whatever...
They seem to change their e-mail addys for no reason -- lol -- so they should expect the same from you too... |
