I may have whizzed in a lads Cheerios but I am not sure as I can not find his email addy in my files. 
The story:
Yesterday I started receiving messages on my K7# from people who have cars for sale, so today I googled one of the numbers that called me and I found the Craigslist Ad of one of the callers.
I emailed him and asked him to forward the email to me. The email screams lad and a google search of his email confirms that he is in fact a scammer.

What really p*sses me off about this is some of the callers were elderly and probably paying for prime time long distance phone calls that could not really afford. 
I did change the greeting on my K7# to inform callers about the scam as I would much rather lose a bait than to have an ITP pay for needless call minutes.
It's open season on this a-hole as far as I'm concernded |

Nice work on adding the warning to your K7 woody999  It may mean that you'll need to ditch that number but it only takes a minute or so to get a new one. Had a similar kind of thing happen to my K7 number but it only involved two vics and the nice people at scamwarners.com sent off a warning to both of them. |

He took the bait this morning and now I wait to see if he will follow through with his fake check.
I called and warned the potential victims who had left messages on my k7. |
