Hi, I was thinking... What if any of those scam people would log in to this site..? Here everybody is sharing the information about possible fakers... So, if that faker would found the information of himself, he would be warned...

Actually, the 419 scammers are frequently aware of this site. But they don't care. They are totally mystified why we do what we do (since there is no money in it for us, why bother?) and since they cannot directly profit from logging into this site, they don't do so too often.

Scammers visit, open accounts, and occasionally log on here. Sometimes they are even dumb enough to post in their own defense. We really don't care. The mods ban them pretty fast when necessary. In general, it is more important that a victim be able to find out about a scammer than it is to worry about whether a scammer might find a reference to himself.

If you are posting about baits in progress and you don't want to risk them being ruined, change your character name and the scammer's name so they aren't obvious. If you use the same character name regularly, change or mask it when you post, even if the bait is over.

A few things to remember, though:
-only a very small number of scammers ever make it here.
-scammers are generally paying for internet time in a cafe--that means every minute they spend here is costing them both time and money--and one of our primary goals in baiting is to waste their time and money so they can't use them on victims.
-scammers like to steal money, not spend it on activities that don't make them money. As a result, they generally won't spend a lot of time surfing here - they want to use that time working their victims.
-Most scammers have a moderate level of English comprehension at best. Often when they do get here, they only understand parts of what they read, and in the end, they leave here more confused than enlightened.

Mostly we laugh.

A lot.

Then they get banned.
