after finding this forum on the internet i thought i'd give baiting a go. i cant believe how much fun i'm having, can anyone help me take this further.

Heres a rough outline so far.

He e-emails me on my work address so i make up some stories. my phone is broken etc etc. finally after claiming his "lawyer" is coming onto me we change to a freshly made G-mail account.

i tell him i will send the £500 fee to change the documents

I get a free phone-to-email account and give him the number.

i tell him we need a new lawyer and that he has to call and confirm he is not a homosexual

after a few rustling phone calls i finally get him to call and confirm, he then decided to phone again and leave another message to get the point across that he has a wife and baby - had me in stitches

I start ranting that it is my birthday and ask him to call and wish me happy birthday - he leaves a rather dull message so i e-mail back asking him to sing "happy birthday melvin" - he calls again and tries to sing Laughing

Throughout all of the shenanigans i've had a good few pictures of him, his wife, his head of security and a number of lawyers (who i tell him each time we must change lawyer as he cannot be trusted)

I have now claimed that i have sent the money via WU but i cant read the code etc because of my bad eyesight, he has asked me to email it over.

at this point i have been ignoring him, i have had a few voice mails asking me to reply, where can i take this?

i'd really like a trophy - i think i have him at the point where this would be possible, how do i go about it?

Melvin - It sounds like you talked to him first using your real-life business e-mail address, then converted to a "fresh" gmail account. Is the mugu able to link you to your real identity on that real-life business e-mail address?

to make it clearer. i didnt like it on my business account so i emailed him from my fresh gmail.

so he now believes i no longer use the account - i always made sure i deleted my work sig etc; however the business email is "[email protected]"

i dont think he is clever enough to "click" - however, i am also talking to him on another fresh gmail account which hasnt went too far. should i stop comms as "melvin" and start again?

It sounds to me, Melvin, that he could link you back to the "real" you. Drop this mugu! There are lots of other fish in the sea.

(If you still want to bait him, start over again with a completely new gmail account and different name - and different approach).

I'm with Bruin on this. The chances of a lad tracking you down and pummeling you with a blunt object are fairly slim. But do you want him to find your home phone number and call and harass your family? Do you have kids? What if one of them picks up the phone only to be confronted with a crazy criminal swearing and cursing? It's just not worth the risk. Just drop him without explanation.

There is no problem in starting over "fresh" with this mugu - a new unrelated gmail account, a new name, a new strategy. Just send him an e-mail from a new account saying " I just got your e-mail. I hope I am not too late to respond. Please tell me more".

Melvin: I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "other GMail", but you can answer your own question by asking yourself whether this would in any way enable him to make the connection with the real you. If it's a fresh account with no connection to your current bait, then by all means. Otherwise, no.
