I saw it (it was good fun)

I was surprised, but I suspect that they were more a label for a character type, if it had been set in the states it could have been the mafia or what have you, from what I understand the "prawns" were meant to represent how people in south africa see immigrant groups such as Nigerians and Zimbabwians.

Yes, but in the States we would label the group the "mafia", not the "Italians".

Saw it opening night and thought it was brilliant.

I was a little surprised at the behavior of the Nigerians, but what could you expect from a poor population forced to live with another much more mysterious population?
