does anyone here bait in a different language than English?

im just wondering b/c im seeing some lads emailing me in french, and that got me thinking about this topic

We've had baiters using The Chef from Sesame street, Swedish, gobbledegook, Yastreb throws Norse gods and phrases into the mix,

I've tried using Solomon pijin but the lads call me a joker very quickly for that.

So long as the important bits are clear, MTCN, WU, MG, $20,000 the lads don't care.

well, to be more precise i mean responding to scams sent to you in a foreign language, in that language.

I had a lad on Tagged who sent me messages there in French. I used Babblefish and replied to him, and also translated his messages that way. (which I have to say, some of those translations of his made no sense! According to Babblefish, he kept talking about cats?! Shocked

)

He wanted to chat with me on YIM, but I didn't want to have to try translating back and forth, so I told him I would, but I asked him if we could speak English, and he told me yeah, if I knew English that was fine with him.

It's interesting because my profile on there says I only speak English. He knew English, so I don't know why he chose to talk to me in French, unless that is his native language and he felt more comfortable using it? I did have fun with that lad for a while. I wonder whatever happened to him.....

Anyways, I'm rambling now.....

There used to be a VERY long list of contacts within 419Eater to help you with translations into/from almost any language for baiting lads. French is very common in West Africa it's more than likely the language the lads or their parents were taught on the one day they went to school (j/k). Very Happy

It's a pity there isn't an "igbo babelfish" though Rolling Eyes

@ Happy_pants: One of my first baits involved a French speaking lad (Cote d'Ivoire).

I do speak decent French but I gave this lad a hard time with my "Pseudo French" Very Happy

Sentences, verbs, .... you name it are just awfull
