Hi,
I just got this mail on my regular account
Quote: |
yo mate, ok I`ll give you my trick but if you give it someone else I`ll fuckin kill you
you know in roulette you can bet on blacks or reds. If you bet $1 on black and it goes black you win $1 but
if it goes red you loose your $1.
So I found a way you can win everytime:
bet $1 on black if it goes black you win $1
now again bet $1 on black, if it goes red bet $3 on black, if it goes red again bet $8 on black,
if red again bet $20 on black, red again bet $52 on black (always multiple you previous lost bet around 2.5)
if now is black you win $52 so you have $104 and you bet:
$1 + $3 + $8 + $20 + $52 = $84 So you just won $20
now when you won you start with $1 on blacks again etc etc. its always bound to go black
eventually (it`s 50/50) so that way you eventually always win. But there`s a catch. If you
start winning too much (like $1000 a day) casino will finally notice something and can ban
you. I was banned once on royal casino. So don`t be too greedy and don`t win more then $200
a day and you can do it for years. I think bigger casinos know that trick so I play for real
money on smaller ones, right now I play on lucky jackpot casino: w w w.golde nslots casino. net for more
then 3 months, I win $50-$200 a day and my account still works. You`ll find roulette there when you log in go to
"specialty games" - "american roulette". And don`t you dare talling about it anyone else,
if too many people knows about it casinos will finally found a way to block that trick. If
you have any questions just drop me a line here or on skype.

Seems to come from Iran
I'm 100% sure I never sent that "Frank" any request for his "roulette trick". What's the point here? Advertising for this online casino?
Be safe, and have a nice day!

Yep we've all made millions from that trick and the casinos are going bankrupt all over the world from it. Las Vegas is closing down due to the bankruptcies. Online gambling has stopped as it's no longer profitable for them all |

@ontheroadagain,
I removed your email address from the message headers and broke the link up. It's spam, just delete it. |

Oh, the "To:" field wasn't mine. I had to be in BCC. But thanks for the "keeping an eye out" 7of9. (and congrats getting banned from membership BTW! )
We all get that the advice is rubbish, but I don't gent the point of this spam. Other spams are advertisement for pharmaceutical websites, or other websites selling things. But this...
Well, anyway, it's just something that got me wondering. No biggy! |

The real problem is you could very well run out of cash before you finally win. A string of 10 loses is what, a 9000 Euro / Dollar Pound bet - so you need about 18 K just to stay in the game. If I recall, most casinos have table limits so a 9K bet at a table that starts with a minimum of 1 may not even be possible.
It's an old variant on the fill a chess board with money, starting with a penny on the first square and doubling the previous amount on each follow on square. |

^^^ if you simply double your lost stake for the next roll ... you will eventually win your original $1 investment in total thats why the "proposal" is to increase by more than 2.0 each time.
You don't often meet destitute casino owners do you?
The scam or con is to simply get you playing on their site and giving them your money.
There is a way of making a limited amount of money using the new member free bets some online bookies offer, it's complicated, it's difficult to follow, it takes a lot of time, the payback doesn't justify the time you put into it and you only have to make one small slip and you can lose a lot of money. |

Nope, as 7/9 said, it is just spam - all you did by replying was indicate that your email address was a valid one, which is why you received more. |

that advice can work, but its stupid. any roulette table ive played on has 0 and 00 on it. so realistically your chances of getting the right color are less than 50/50.
if you lose and just keep doubling down, at somepoint, the casino will probably ask you to leave.
other than that, yes its spam |

This is just an advert for online casino's. It recommends a guaranteed trick and gives you a link to a site it works on.
Of course the trick doesn't actually work and the site that just happens to be mentioned, more than likely it's them sending out the email, end's up making money from anyone naive enough to follow the advice. |

The doubling bet method is called the Martingale bet, and this scam is mentioning one of its variants. I would disagree that the casinos would ask you to leave if they caught you betting that way. They love it. As long as you are betting money on the table, casinos know they will make their money in the long run.
As someone else mentioned, all it takes is the inevitable bad luck streak that will either drain your bankroll so you can't afford to make the next required bet, or you run into the table maximum that prevents you from betting the full amount the method requires.
I'm sure there are people who have made money using this method but you need a certain amount of luck. Which is the way it always is at the casino. |

I was once interested enough to simulate this trick, because it isn't obvious that it doesn't work (except that casinos make money of course.) The 0, and in the USA, 00, don't make much difference. The fact is that you cannot beat the odds by spreading a bet, as the bankers have just found out.
It fails because there is always a maximum amount you can bet, and when the system requires you to bet more, you lose the lot. It doesn't happen often, ten reds is 1:1024, but often enough to wipe out all the small wins you make in the meantime.
The 50:50 bets are the fairest on the table. I imagine trying a 2.5 multiplier would just make it fail worse - fewer plays until you hit your ceiling and greater losses when it happens.
The green numbers might just tip the balance between breaking even on average and going down every time. |

I believe this is beautifully illustrated by Darren Brown
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lX94fV4TWbc&feature=fvst
It's not Martingale he's attempting, but it works kind of similarly. If you don't catch the trick he's attempting, the system appears to be brilliant until it's exposed. |

To be anal, what bankers found out is that you must properly identify and quantify risk in order to control your exposure; and then properly spread the risk out amongst those that are willing to take it in exchange for a (large) payment.
Unfortunately for the bankers the assumptions they made in assessing the actual risk were wrong and resulted in problems that not even Chuckie S's millions could solve. |

Speaking of roulette, did any of you see that Nicholas Cage movie, Next? Cage played a guy who could see 2 minutes into the future. Predictably, he lived in Las Vegas and used these powers to make money at blackjack. Which seems like an okay way to go.
What I don't understand is why he didn't play roulette? Seems like if you always, unfailingly knew where the ball was going to land, you could make a lot of money on roulette really quickly. What is the payout for betting on one number and getting that number? The only exposure to roulette I've ever had was in the video game Dragon Quest 8, where a roulette bet like that would give you 28 times your wager. |
