It's a family affair at my house. Go to my folks and we sit and think of new characters and story lines.

My daughter is a little web genius is in the making so she is working on a website for me and my youngest helps me with responding to emails.

My dad just sits there snoring with the dogs!!

It's been fun reading everyone's answers Smile

For the most part, my husband and I have always had different interests in terms of spare time and hobbies. (27 yrs.) Very Happy

We're usually pretty content with what the other does knowing it makes him or her happy.

He loves golf, poker, and avidly follows certain sports. Other than Law and Order re-runs, his channel is set on Espn. I wish I had more time to bait...and only ever have a couple going at a time. I basically spend my free online time now on 3 sites - Tripadvisor, Spin Palace Casino (practice mode of course!), and 419eater.

So, we live in a parallel universe of sorts. While he's pulling a game in, I'm making comments like....."Oh, we can't vacation in Jamaica (ex.) anymore, looks like it's going to pot," or... "Wow I just won 203,600 coins on Break da Bank."

A few nights ago I exclaimed, " I just killed my 8th bank account" and he said "well leave one open for us" Very Happy

I think we're both just talking to the air, but it's air we happily share.

My kids (both out of the house) think it's a worthy cause, and my friends send me their scam mails.

My husband tells me I should just pray for them. I asked him to play a character in one of my baits. He refused and called me crazy. He does reluctantly help me with translating when I need some French or Arabic help(which isn't often) but that's as far as he'll go. I'm hoping he will see things my way and join our team eventually.

They all roll their eyes and treat it as an eccentric pastime but can all now spot a scam a mile away

Many scammers are aware that sites like this exist. They simply cannot comprehend how or why a person does something, (anything!) without an angle or money involved.

The old...."all it takes for evil to exist is for good men to do nothing" applies here for me personally.

I don't let baiting come before my personal life and making a living to survive. I'm able to bait only because those priorities are in order. Time is everything, so for me, it's the same as volunteering at the Humane Society, or helping with a fund raiser for whatever cause strikes my heart which I would be doing anyway. An added non-altruistic bonus is that it's fun.

I'm sure your husband does things for people at times just out of the goodness of his heart, so....what you're doing is - well you get the picture Smile

Mrs Writeon is aware of scams and the amount of time I spend on this site but she is not aware that I am a scam baiter. Nor would she approve.

Catcher, I don't think he gets it. I don't think he even knows what 419 is. But he doesn't care so I don't bother explaining it. I do it because it's fun, and I get to see how well I can bullshit a bullshitter! Smile

Only two people in my family know what I’m doing and in the barest of detail. One is my spouse, one a friend. The friend thinks I’m crazy and looking for trouble. My spouse does the “rolling of the eyes” thing. What I find funny is my brother lives with us. I’m waiting for the day he asks me if I’m having an affair . . . lol . . . as I talk with "great passion" to lads on occasion using my pc and skype. Like my mentor says . . . “Ahhh, good times”.
