We've exhanged a few emails and he's off script already, so it's going well.

Yesterday I received this in my spam mail:

Dear Friend,

We have concluded arrangements to effect the payment of US$2,400.000.00 through Western Union Swift Money transfer services today, but the maximium amount you will be receiving each day starting from tomorrow is $5,000.00 daily until the funds iscompletely transfered.

This special arrangement is being used to avoid all spurious demands by both the states and federalauthorities that has delayed your payment till date. We shall need your maximum co-operation to ensure that strictest confidence is maintained to avoid any further delays.

Please contact the Accredited WesternUnion Agent for the details of your payment of the first US$5,000;MTCN,Sender's Name.Question,Answer to enable you pick your funds.

It's a completely different scam, nothing related to my bait as it wasn't going down that route, it's a different email address too.

Could this honestly be the same lad? I'm seriously thinking of trying to bait him to the same email address using a different name.

sometimes lads have more than one script and do at times get them confused.

to answer your question, yes they are stupid, but not always.

roll with it as if nothing has changed, imagine if he were to do this to a real victim. game over...

It's not necessarily stupidity. The lad's probably running more than one scam with several victims/baiters, using scripts and copy and paste. And the new address may mean that the first was shut down following a complaint to the email provider. How big a problem that is depends on how good the lad's record-keeping is.
More of a clerical error really.

If I was a real victim I wouldn't have my inbox flooded with crap all day, meaning i'd pick up on something like a new email with a new offer in my inbox from someone who I thought I was doing a legitimate transaction with.

He'd lose me and that'd be that, it's pretty stupid Razz
