I’m back again

It seems that I will be working a car dealer to my whole family Smile
http://forum.419eater.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1393265

It’s now my brother who wants to buy a car from the US,
the thing is we don’t know anybody there , so I’m forced unwillingly to deal again with the car sites as my brother doesn’t speak English (sure I’m not better than him Crying or Very sad )

To keep it short and simple I thought of using this site as eBay instructs its customers to do so

https://www.escrow.com/index.asp

as you can see, it’s an escrow site that claims to guarantees the buyers money and it’s responsible of delivering the sellers’ money .

Is it a legitimate site?

I’m afraid as I read a lot about the escrow fraud!

Imagine what my brother would do to me if he’s money went to Lagos instead of a car dealer in New York Mad Crying or Very sad

419eater one of a few sites that I can completely TRUST (along with the BBC of course) and for that reason I’m seeking your help with this

Dora is quite correct.

This is how escrow works - similar to a bond/bailer/bailee relationship (don't feel like digging out my books for the correct terms if this is incorrect) - one party puts up a financial guarantee of performance in accordance with a contract, rendering the contract null and void (and often forfeiting the agreed upon amount) if that party fails to follow through.

The escrow company is the disinterested party and entrusted with the money.

Escrow.com is legitimate and is one of the companies on the sticky at ScamWarners.com:

They have a very good section about escrow fraud - please note the https: in the URL:
https://www.escrow.com/fic/index.asp
