Can some one educate me on IP stripping email?

I saw it mentioned several times on the FAQ but no links or other than general information.

Can some one point me on the right way?

If you know how to get the header of the email just paste it in here:

http://headertool.apelord.com/

If you are not sure how to get the header please reply back with the email provider you are using and we'll show you Smile

I think you did. I can find headers no problem. In the FAQ it says this:

The IP stripping email is the safest way to bait and with that alone it is possible to have a very successful bait, have your Character name prepared and complete the details when you sign up matching your character's, age location and name, although highly unlikely, this may be checked by the scammer. By using an IP stripping Address it is also possible for you to travel the world from the comfort of your own home and your pet will not be able to tell any different

But gives no further info on IP Stripping email or how you do this that I could find.

Ah fair enough, apologies for that.

With that I presume simply an email service that strips your email should be used. Such as gmail.com that does not give your ip away when you send email in the contrary to hotmail and yahoo.

Gmail, Hushmail, and Bigstring will strip your IP if you use them from the web interface. Not if you use them with Outlook or something like that.

Just send yourself an email and check your headers for your own piece of mind. Very Happy
