After my old dobe passed away I got me another one. She's going to be there to protect me against ze germans.

yeah her paws are ridiculously big for the size of her body. That was what I liked about her when I was looking for a dog.

She will grow into those paws.

I met a dog that looked a lot like Fluffy while I was taking our dog for a walk. He had got away from his owners and had no collar. When my dog started to take exception to his bouncing around, he needed to be contained. I ended up with my arms around him, holding onto his foreleg while someone fetched something to act as a lead and take him home. He didn't mind in the slightest.

As for the other question, surely it has to be a German Shepherd?

Well, once she grows into those paws, all she has to do is jump up to lick their face, which will knock them down. Then she'll keep 'em down while she licks them to a slobbery demise. Wink

We had a dobbie rescue when I was growing up. She was an amazing animal that understood what people were saying about her. One day a family friend came over and said that dobbies were dangerous. She walked over to him, flopped down, rolled over and did the "rub my belly". She knew not to track in dirt into the house when her paws were dirty and would stash hard avocados until they would ripen. Even though she was a rescue, she had 5 inches of paper work from all the schools she attended and the awards that she had won. One day the dog license person came to the door. A neutered animal was $20 but not fixed was $100. I was positive she had a certificate of sterilization. After spending 15 minutes going through the stack repeatedly, the animal control officer gave up and gave us the $20 rate forever. I found out later the original owners did not fix her.

I had a Dobie. A great dog but as vicious as hell. Too smart for their own good.

Hey folks,

let me tell you what really makes us germans fear: a genuine west highland white terrier Very Happy

almost the strenght and surely the charakter of a german shepherd packed into about 8 kilos of dog. That's why i got me one, no one dares to threaten me when i'm on a walk with the fury little fellow. Twisted Evil

@weareborg I agree with you. Size is not allways everything. It depends on how high he can jump to get his teeth placed Laughing
