Hi all,
Just got the two questions:

Is it possible to hide an IP address when sending lads e-mails? I notice that when I send mine (via gmx) they indicate they are being sent from my university...

Also, what's everyone using when either phoning or being phoned by the lads ? I don't want my main home phone/mobile to be used - I would rather do it online with a headset. Does anyone use this & if so which program..?

Gmail, fastmail or using aol will hide your Ip adress, as many lads well know.

I use an untracable mobile, registered with false details (if at all) with credit paid for in cash, again, as the lads usually do.

Hi Tainted. To ensure Gmail strips your IP, make sure to use the online version of it, not setting it up with your Outlook or Thunderbird mail clients.

For a safe online phone, you can sign up for Skype and use a 3rd party software like Pamela or Pretty May to record your calls too.

Thanks for the replies, guys, very helpful.
I have now setup a gmail account & linked my gmx accounts to it so hopefully that should sort out the IP issue.
Another thing off-topic - I notice that you are both moderators & I was wondering how long it took to get my propaganda poster ' up in lights' & also how long it takes to confirm my donation has been received - I WANT a shiny name..!!

hmmmm.. my last post wasn't the answer as whenever I send e-mail on behalf of my gmx account, the header in the e-mail says -
******@googlemail.com on behalf of ******@gmx.co.uk
Thats not much use..!!
The reason why I want to keep my gmx names cause they're pretty cool characters which are not available on googlemail.
May have to rethink & make up some new characters.....

As soon as an admin gets round to it, its not a button which us mods have. I just checked, and there is a postit note with your name on it, that Lotta stuck on the modlounge fridge door, so hopefully soon.

ETA: Re the IP adress, thats why you need to use Googlemail's own web based broswer, then it strips your IP.

TM, you can choose any email name w/ google you wish and still sign the emails w/ any cool baiting name you want. Don't think if your gmail acct is bob123 that you have to sign your name with it. The lads don't, so we don't either Very Happy

Yep, thats what i'm gonna do. Get some new characters via googlemail.

Sorry for sounding stupid but do you have one account where you do all your baiting from but using different names on each e-mail..??
