I don't know what I can do but thought I'd put this out there for any suggestions. I've been baiting a scammer and recently put him through the Mr G0m3r treatment pretty successfully. I'd been looking forward to this solidifying my creds as naive and scammable in his eyes.
He responded with a reasonably detailed description of what was going to happen to me in terms of how Mr G would screw me over. I was pleased and replied with mock indignation at the way he slandered our reliable Mr G.
Then, the unusual part - the scammer replied to the very email thread with a different victim's name, and explained in great detail how he would "split" the fee with the victim as the vic seems to have pleaded poverty. Pretty idiotic given the rest of the thread, with me slapping the scammer over Mr G slurs was right there.
If anyone is baiting Mr Ell1s Bry4n please PM me and we can discuss if this is you running a bait. Otherwise, I am in a bit of a quandry. I may have been sent a real victim's name, although I have no idea how I could go about tracking them down to warn them.
Any and all suggestions appreciated.
[edit] Doing a search on the possible victim's name (first, middle, and surname together) I get full match on a guy on Facebook [/edit]

This is one of the ways that we can help save victims.  Scammer mistakes are great!
If you think you have uncovered the information of a real victim please send it to a moderator with context of the scam so that they can pass it over to ScamWarners. |

Ehhhh.....I thought about the de-education part right after sending off a slap that said he's such a bad lawyer he can't even keep his clients straight. I'd been berating him about poor service after he's been whining about being dollar chopped.
Good advice and I will keep that mistake to myself next time. Live and learn.
