please help me get out of this he some how had my home address what do I do if something comes to my house I'm very very scared who do I call what do I do should I call FBI CIA or my local police department if something comes to my house I want no part of it I'm not even gonna touch the package if there is one but please help me get out of this people please I will be for ever greatful

What are they sending?

If it's just a check, tear it up and be done with it. The chances of a scammer traveling thousands of miles in order to yell at you about not falling for his scam are beyond remote.

May I ask how the scammer obtained your address?

supposedly he is shipping cash and weapons and he probably got my address from where I work online, so how do I get out of this who do I call if it gets here

If this is a standard "soldier in Iraq who found money and weapons" scam, he's not sending anything at all, because none of it exists. He will tell you he is sending something and then there will be a last minute fee. Checks, as Blah said, are to be shredded.

This is why we do not give any real information to scammers. One little bit of personal information can lead to a lot more.

Although maybe it's just me, but this thread is starting to give me a really strong feeling of deja vu.

Hello, Oil Terrorist. I'd be glad to help you sort this out. Remember, scammers lie. You can be certain that no cash or guns are being sent to you. The most scammers ever send out are fake checks and money orders.

It appears that you may not have been baiting safely if he got your work information.

scammers only scam so that they can get paid - they never send anything of value unless they have been pushed well off-script.
when a scammer agrees to ship something to you, he will usually pretend to give the consignment to a "courier",
and you will be expected to pay the courier's fees and/or customs duties [all invented of course]

so - you don't need to worry, because no cash or weapons are going to arrive.
and if the authorities gets wind of your emails, they will probably just have a quiet word with your parents.

sorry, but i don't buy the story that the scammer found your address.
my money is on you having given it away, either voluntarily or maybe accidently in a sig block.

k***n, i don't want to appear harsh, but baiting might not be the right past-time for you.

if you use a email address from your work ([email protected]) your ip is in the header
and because the most company's have there own server, this IP address can lead them to the front door

but that is if your story is for real
