Isn't this going to be like android? If its based on linux and someone swithes over from Windows will all the Windows Software work?

Yep- its bound to run using the linux kernel and no- your M$ stuff won't work on it!

It'll be Linux with a new GUI, GOS (http://www.thinkgos.com/gos/index.html) has already pretty much done it.
@Jay, Windows stuff won't run natively, you'll need to run WINE or CrossOver and those are both hit and miss as to what Windoze programs they will actually run.

I think it is called Google Chrome OS and it should be more web application based OS. I am looking forward it. ^^
