So there i am stuck in Durango, my wife was taken ill, virus on the brain, seems now to be coming around. Going to the hospital to see if my voice will help.

Need to be an olympic sprinter to cross the street, 20 seconds.
Toilets about the same height as a bidet.
Electrics work the opposite to Britian, the weather is British, its raining.

Don't now when i can get back to the site.

My wife is breathing on her own, the insurance company are making arrangements to fly us back home.

I know what you mean about olympic sprinting. I did that trick in Detroit a while back; I walked a mile to the mall and back. The combination of wide roads, ultra-rare pedestrians and right-turn-on-red is terrifying.

Been a bit of a rush, had a phone call on Sunday morning at 06.00 in America, if i wanted to take that nights flight from Denver to Heathrow, i said yes, had a connecting flight, from Durango to Denver.

Wife was brought home by air amblance, via Canada, Greenland and Iceland, re-fueling stops.

Visited her yesterday, been a 2000% difference in her condition, she is now fully awake but her speech is slurred and she can not swallow, liquids, they are giving her extra oxygen.

She has Viral Encephalitis.

Good to hear that she is getting better Fo'andles. From your first description I thought Encephalitis. My cousin had it many, many years ago. The symptoms are truly alarming, so I can relate to what you are going through. It will probably take a while for her to fully recover, but she should be just fine. I am sending lots of positive energy your way.

Thanks all.

She has been moved out of Critical Care, now in a ward where her friends can visit, also its the hospital where she works, they have been helping her to eat and drink.

Polished of Sheperds pie, a banana, drink of tea, water.

Its her friends who are nagging me now, thought i was going to get some peace and quiet.

We had travel insurance through Thomas Cook, spoke to the Insurance company, yesterday in the USA, they like to keep in touch also the Thomas Cook tour guide is keeping in touch.

Viral Encephalitis is nasty as all hell... I wont get into the mortality stuff.. just leave it at she is damn lucky she is pulling through Smile

I am happy for you..

Not that anyone is interested.. But Encephalitis is caused from many different types of Viruses.. And right now we have this Swine flue epidemic going on world wide.. So be careful and don't take chances with your life.. Would hate to loose any of our members.. Or their family members.
