The poor orphan, Alm1ra, which recently converted to be a follower of Cult of Cthulhu, accompanied with officials from a security company, have travelled from Lome to Accra to meet me at the airport...

I know the distance is not too big, but they had to cross an international border so I understand this is a Safari.

Already received an e-mail stating that I was not even on the passenger manifest - geez, these a$$holes do have access to it? Or bribery does the trick?

Anyway, I have apologized for missing the flight (due to security screenings etc) and told them I have been rebooked to another flight, now to Cotonou, Benin.

Let's see whether they drop me or follow their path for bunch of money...

^^^I've had similar accusations and I'm assuming either they are lying or they paid a bribe.

You can always try to move them on - you got arrested by ghanain customs for carrying so much money but you managed to get to Abidjan in Cote d' Ivoire (further away from home for the mugu!)

The lads returned back to Togo (IP confirmed) and are quite disappointed by the situation.

In the meantime, my character has arrived to Cotonou, Benin and is waiting for them in the hotel. I hope the will come and pick him up as he is scared of local people, trying to make "some kind of business" with him...

If he keeps writing you, then he could still be on the hook. Ask him to explain, or apologize for any misunderstanding. There is always an excuse for everything.
