Romance Scams - Frequency of Replies??

I am working two baits, new to romance scams, both are Beautiful West African Women, hehehe. Googled the pictues by name and found additonal names used for these pics, pretty sure from a black model site.

Any way, both have well connected parents that were killed, have money hidden, and need help getting the money out, and help getting them out of the refuge camp(s) in Dakar and into my loving arms here in Amerika. Very Happy

I have been trying with some success to get them off script by explaining that I have been planning a trip to the mother continent and perhaps we could meet there.

Back to the point of this post. I only receive one reply per day. The baits are a week old now and I never get more than one email per day. Is this normal? One has been pushing me to call the 'reverend' the other pushing me to 'chat'. I have deflected those requests so far.

Suggestions?

It's awaiting game, unfortunately. And they won't come "off" script until the money requests start and sometimes not even then, So just play along, and remember it goes where it goes.

Just remember these refugee camps while very well equiped, with swimming pools, computer Internet services, are also a bit cramped, So don't worry if the love of your life, can only manage one e-mail every couple of day's. Strangely enough your not the only man in his life Crying or Very sad

Keep up the good work and start posting some script, pictures and the all important e-mail "header" info. And you will probably find other's on here who have also been in love with "it"

It also depends on the scammer I find.

I had one who simply couldn't be arsed and wrote when he felt like it (even after dangling an inheritance under his nose), and my current one who writes almost every day (and hasn't asked for money yet). I think I'm going to have to dangle an inheritance under his nose too...

Every lad is a little different, to some degree it will depend on how desperate they are for your money but 1 reply every week day is a fairly standard thing to expect.

Just keep playing along, you could throw in additional charactors of your own which is always fun or you can discuss some special requests of your own, I recall oen baiter a while back who had her lad do her sons homework for him which was very kind.

Just remember, nothing too out there to start with, gradually introduce some easy requests and make them slightly harder each time.

The romance FAQ (you can find it in my signature line), the Eater Uni, found at the bottom of the forum index or even the Spooner baits (which is really a heap of short baits where we push the limits of good baiting)will give you a few ideas to keep your pet well amused.

If you dont think the 2 you have are keeping you sufficiently amused you may consider taking on some new pets, there is no shortage of new pets to train Wink

Refugees are not standard Romance Lads. The romance part is quite insignificant to them, and they will be perfectly happy (if not happier) to be turned into a penpal, or a recipient of charity, or an adopted daughter or sister or neice.

I've baited about 35 of them, some still ongoing, one now at 7 months, and my experience is that one reply per day is good going. Many only reply once every two or three days at first. They do want to go through their script, and, although you can respond with some chat which is laying the groundwork for later (eg your rural location, far from WU; your bad legs, which can't walk much distance; your hopelessness with forms, which will include WU ones), it seems best to just be fairly compliant until it gets to the send-some-money stage. They like a lot of sympathy for their situation, though, so throw some of that in most mails.

You could suggest emailing the Reverend, instead of telephoning. The Reverend will nearly always be played by the same Lad as the Refugee, so that will give him twice the amount of emails to write to you. I like to ask the Reverend about his church's denomination, and whether they believe in spiritual gifts like healing and tongues, and what they believe will happen in The Last Days, and, if I wanted to read the Bible, what books should I start with?

I wouldn't recommend Chat with Refugees: they won't want to talk love, but push straight to the money, and unless you are quick-thinking and particularly clever, you'll find that what should have been weeks of baiting has been condensed into less than an hour. You don't have time to Chat. You're too shy for Chat. Chat isn't private enough, and your nosey spouse or father or teenage child will see it and interfere.

When it gets to the money stage, you could decide that you really can't receive their millions into your bank account (for tax reasons, or something), but is there anything else you can help them with? This is a risky suggestion: you could get dropped at this point. But if they agree to you helping them instead with money for a passport or visa, the bait can be stretched out quite a bit longer. So many questions to ask about their future plans! You want to help them, not cause them to get into another bad situation, so it is important that you know that their plans will be of true benefit to them, and nothing will go wrong.

Would it be better to send them three times the cost of a passport, so they can settle in the country they are in? Would that be enough for them to get a house and maybe start a little business? No? How much would they need, then? Perhaps your church or gardening club or rich neighbours could help raise the money?

It can all be stretched out - but be patient and wait a few weeks for the opportunity. Try it too early, and you'll be dropped. Refugees are not the most trusting of Lads.

Both are using nearly the exact same script, only the names and very minor details are different.

I think it is possible some of you may know them, I googled the file name on the jpg they sent and for H0pe I found three other names for her. For Diane, I found her picture on a German scam-baiter site.

But like clockwork I get one email from each daily. I know this is very elementary, and I see some very interesting and complex baits, but this is all I can do for now.

Your Hope Blessing. She (he) is from Dakar, Senegal. Yes, it has many names, usually involving Blessing or Linda, Oti or Godwill. Five of my characters have baited her (him).

And I can tell you that this Lad is very suspicious, and easily lost. I can also tell you that although he will ignore your early emails and proceed with his script, once he gets onto the needing-money part, and you remind him of something, he will go back and re-read your early emails, so do mention early on anything (like telephone problems or your wheelchair) that you might want to bring up as an excuse (for not doing what he wants) later.

Despite my one hundred and something emails from the Lad, I can still lose him all over again with a new character, so don't be disheartened if this happens to you. Good news though: he will give you a bank account if you fail at Western Union, and, if (though it is a big if) he believes in you, he will stick around through all your ups and downs and willingnesses and failures for about 3 months of daily emails.

we just had a long weekend here in australia, so I didn't reply to my scammer for four days. And the bastard bitchslapped me!

Mind you, I HAVE been baiting him for two months with every problem I could think of to throw at him (gay husband, nasty divorce, psychotic niece, loss of farm, arrests at a funeral). when it's finally done it'll be something I can PROUDLY put in the "publish your work here" thread Smile

Miss Divine, the two timing bitch, I am in contact with her at present, she is now calling herself Miss Sonia.

Only one or two E Mails at present, Im expecting her to ask for money on next mail as she has stated her dead father had millions etc.

Not sure where to go with it, but I have mentioned my Step Father who may view my E Mails later on and try and steal the love of my life from me later, the dirty old pervert.

What does "bitchslapped" mean? Could you elaborate on the details of that incident so I would know?

As stated above, they are all different. I have a vlad that replies once a day, a lad only once every 4 days, and others that send multiple mails on 1 day. If you're not having enough action, just pick another pet to keep you satisfied Smile
