Twice in past three days I have received the following email Does anyone have experience with this type of thing? I have been reading as much as I can, but there are so many pages I don't think I can go through them all! Sorry. Sad

I believe the "w.cn" is Chinese in origin. and squirrel mail seems to be widely used.
I'd be grateful for any comments regarding this. Am wondering if I should yell out for a mentor?!

Hi auldbat and welcome to Eater.

What you have received is a staandard advanced fee scam aimed at people who are looking for loans.

Your loan will be immediately approved, but you will be asked for fee after fee, (all payable via Western Union) and will never actually get a loan.

EDIT: Just to say if you're going to bait them - bait safely, set up an anonymous email account with Gmail or HushMail and bait them from there.

Thanks for the reply and the caution! I figured that was what was going on here. I def will get anonymous mail addy etc. And will finish my 'uni course' first! Hope all the mentors are prepared for an old bat!
