I mean, sites not set by for the baiter. For example, I've recently become a GP and started working for a hoax hospital online that advertises male pregnancy!
Is it ok for us to do this? I figure it's kind of in keeping with the spirit of both the website and scambaiting, but I just want to check we have no rules against this.

I say go for it...use your discretion as to who you send the website to, but seeing as we set up no less credible websites for courier services, safari camps, churches, etc I can't see why medical nonsense should concern even the most paranoid amongst us

There are no rules against it tazmanian, and certainly not the type you have mentioned. Baiters have many sites they use lik the church site going by the name of T-W-A-T and I have one for the G0merBoyz fake Lad scammer gang.

Sometimes there can be issues if they could be mistaken for something real. but the subject of yours should mean it is not going cause any problem there.

I think that tazmanian is talking about using websites set up for other people (non-baiters).

If that is the case then I think it should be avoided as you are involving ITPs. Firstly, the scammer could start emailing via email addresses on the website. Secondly, if the author of the site has registered it in their real name then you are putting them at risk.

I understand, but in my particular case I found a list of websites clearly set up for a joke and the hospital site only has a phony 'leave us a message' section, not other details. The fact that it advertises male pregnancy should be a good test of any lad's sceptical analysis Smile

I do understand your point thougha nd I agree - it's vital not to expose any ITPs.

^^ The whois for the domain may be registered to their real name however, which would have phone numbers and everything. This is publicly available, and any scammer with the URL could look it up. just google "whois domain.com" and you should be able to see the info yourself.
