Most people reading this will probably say, 'Well yes, of course,' but I'm on a high about it, and want to talk about it, so here it is anyway.....

And in the Romance forum because, although it wasn't a Romance bait (until today), this is probably where it has most application.

The story:

Lad had written me getting on for 100 emails. I haven't written that many back; my character is busy and only manages to answer about one in three. She has messed up every single way of getting money to him. He is not only losing patience, but getting suspicious and calling her a Joker.

It was a Sunday afternoon. All my characters had written to all their pets, and I didn't want to start any new ones, as, during the week, I have enough to handle. But it was a hot Sunday afternoon and I was doing nothing .... and that particular Lad was online and pushing for Chat.

I don't normally do much Chat. I like to write emails in my own time, wander off and get a drink, come back and finish a mail, hang loose, get interupted, go and socialise, do it all in my own time. But I have done it before when the situation seems to warrant it. But I've never before had a Lad on webcam.

This Lad was on webcam. And it was brilliant, because I could see his reactions to everything I said. Criminal he may be, but A Man he is also. And my character, although two decades older than him, is female. And her experience knows the odd line that usually works very well. And the webcam told that it did. He could not stop himself being flattered, it was obvious in his expressions. We had chest-puffing, moistening of lips, coy looks, the lot. Oh, the power!

In four hours he turned from calling my character 'Mother' to calling her 'Sweetheart' and wanting her.

I'm normally crap at turning any other sort of scam into a Romance bait! But his facial and body expressions gave away exactly what was working. Money got forgotten. And now I have a whole new angle (dear me, my poor 50-something year old will need some reassurances now!) to play with.

And so, preaching to the converted, I would say: Highly Recommended!

Branwen there is an ever growing number of young bucks who have the hots for older women. From the safety of your computer you can build their fantasy as high as you chose.

My character's only in her 40's, but still gets all the young scammers. My first web chats weren't all that successful, but maybe I can try again now that the format is settling down

Yay Branwen!! Nothing more fun than turning your lad on, messing with his head, and causing him to forget his scam, possibly getting him to fall in love with you.
You will have the ultimate power over him now, use it well.

Oh no, I don't even have a webcam! It was one-way only, in a little separate window in Yahoo Instant Messenger. I then accepted 'voicemail' too, and had sound to go with it. He couldn't hear me in return, though, as I had no microphone attached to my PC.

No idea how to record a webcam viewing: I took a screenshot of him, but that was all.

Funniest moment was when he returned after leaving his PC for a few minutes. In his absence, I'd been 'talking to the wall' in French (the wall there only understood French, it being a French-speaking country). He had previously claimed he knew no French (he was from another country, just there temporarily, etc). Of course he knows French! When he saw what I had written ('to the wall') he just couldn't stop himself laughing. I would have missed that if it had not been for the webcam!
