I've started a correspondence with a "Senegalese" woman whose IP address seems to be New York City. Is this common? Thanks. |

Just a thought, but try checking all of the IP's that are in the header. I've had a Cali., a Tex., and an Ireland (apparent origin) that all traced back to separate lads in Nigeria (true origin).
It gets easier, with practice, to spot which one is the origin. |

Usually the last IP in the header is the originating one..

I'm baiting a lad at the moment who must be using a proxy of some sort, because his IP's have shown New York, Kentucky, and England.
It's rather irritating because I got my first safari out of him, but I have no way to prove it. |

hmm, well, both the "senegalese" woman's IPs are New York, and her "bank" has a "private IP address." So I'm SOL if I want to send them on a safari at some point I guess.
Where do you guys go to look up IP addresses? I went to a site called IP2Location.com, but there's a limit on how many searches I can do per day. |

^^Could you post the header from your lad's email? Take out the email addresses and make sure to avoid blowing out the page.

And that is Microsoft. There was a recent conversation about this. Seems that sometimes, lately, some Microsoft emails (Hotmail, live.com, etc) are just showing Microsoft and not the full headers. No one has been able to state why this has been happening. At least, no one has posted why here in the fora.
