I thought I would go ahead and post this in the Love/Dating forum, since so many romance scams are perpetrated by vlads in Russia.

I'm going on a two-week trip at the end of June that will put me in Russia for three days. I'll be in St. Petersburg for two days, and Moscow for one full day.

I've personally never gotten involved in baiting love lads (although I've turned a few of my NOK and Lottery lads into lovers! Wink

) so I'm not very familiar with vlads and the baiting modalities that involve them. To be honest vlads scare me! (All that Russian Mob crap, doncha know.)

But if my being in Russia could further your bait in some way, I would be happy to help. Maybe I can help you to convince your vlad that you've traveled to Russia? Mail a postcard with a Russian postmark...take some photos...I don't know, whatever I can do. I mean, how often do we have a baiter in Russia? There's gotta be something I can help with.

Due to my limited visa I will be with a private tour guide for the entire time, but I'm sure I could drop something in the mail, or snap a particular photo that would prove your character has traveled to Russia (I will be flying in an out of the airport in Moscow). So if you can think of some way I can further your bait, reply here or drop me a PM and we'll see what I can do for you.

So romancing some of my "girls" might get you in a back alley, with the cats licking your face.
Also be real careful where you point your camera, or your next holiday might be a labour camp. And Kev [ Rudd ] won't be in charge Confused

yepp, a lot of countrys don´t like it, if tourists start to photograph all sort of buildings or peoples.
I really got problems with 2 policemen, when i was in Kenya for a week, because i took a picture from a goverment-Building.
First they tried to confiscate my camera, but i was able to get them to the point to delete the photo on the camera under their eyes.

i heard the same about russia.

As in many countries, taking pictures in certain places or of certain places is not appreciated, sometimes strictly forbidden. Neglecting this can make you end up in prison or at least a huge fine.

Thanks Cachuma for your generous offer especially when you will be busy playing tourist. There will be a lot to see in those few days. I spent a week in Russia as a tourist this past August. Some pictures are posted here (please don't necro). We did not have any problems taking pictures. In some countries, taking pictures of military bases and equipment, infrastructure (power plants, etc.) and some government building are frowned upon or can get you into trouble. Tourist areas are usually safe for pictures. The tour guide will know the rules. Tour guides in Russian are highly regulated and they can lose their license if they violate the rules.
