I went dead on my lad for about 3 days, then emailed him with a story about getting hit by a car, breaking ribs, deflating my liver ( Smile

) and sustaining a major head injury, which made me accidentally delete his emails. This is his response...

That is very lad typical. You are not even a human being to him. All you are is a source of money. He will gladly take a victim's last dime even if it means his victim will have to go without food or required medical attention. It is also not uncommon for lads to tell their victims to send money that is needed to feed the victim's children.

Send me the money today and within 84 hours the 10 million will hit your bank account without delay. Think of how well this will benefit your children....

Since you are new, my advice would be not to try to get a lad to feel sorry for your character. It will never happen and it is very horrible to see just how evil and heartless lads really are.

"Heartless lads". I think that's one of those tautology thingies. A person with any semblance of human empathy could never so what a lad does.

I had a character with cancer. She feared that the treatment was not working and that she would die. She wrote to the Lad that she wished to cancel their transaction because she wanted to save the money for her funeral expenses, so the cost would not fall upon her children.

The Lad's response?

'God has told me you will not die. So send me the money.'

Lads also kidnap, hold for ransom, and then torture their victims to death (Just google "419 murder"). Lads don't deserve a speck of sympathy from me or anyone else.

This is why I'm so damned sick of this romanticized image of lads as poor starving Africans living in straw huts in the middle of the jungle while bravely making a David-and-Goliath-esque stand against "the West" which is raping (whatever that analagy's supposed to mean) their land.

I assure you that the last thing that the small pockets of populations in Africa who really are starving are doing is sitting at an internet cafe checking their e-mail.

Fellow baiters I can agree with you no more than I already do on this. These people are, simply put, evil. Their lack of any compassion or sympathy makes them true examples of the scum of this Earth.

And I must say I did laugh when I saw ScamSlammer's post about his wife needing prostate surgery. On a similar line I messed up with my first lad and gave him a bit of character backstory too early, telling him I am actually an embezzler and am rather desperate to get the money. I meant to save that until later when I "trust" the lad more but it was late and I got my thoughts mixed up. However, I do not think he knows what embezzle means because he took the bait and it is currently in progress.
