Theres way too much concern in todays society for the rights of the criminal, sadly at the expense of the victims.

As far as I'm concerned as soon as the scammers try to steal some old grannies life savings they have forfeited any rights, end of.

So for all you yoghurt knitting, champagne socialists out there get out of our forum and get back to writing letters of support to serial killers and all your other perverse pc pastimes.

Im sure there are a good few folks whose eyes will be opened when they read some of the threads on this site, and that aint a bad thing. However the die hard PC liberal brigade dont respond to cold logic and reasoning.

To clarify: my " get out " rant was aimed at them not at any open minded guests who have been attracted to the site by the article. I sincerely hope they realise what the baiters do here and any doubts they have are cleared up.

I've spent a lot of time examining the mindset of your average scammer and it makes for extremely ugly viewing. They have no compunction at all about preying on the elderly, the naive, the poor or the vulnerable. Truth be told, they're their targets of choice, being easy to swindle for a few pounds a time. It's better for the scammer than spending weeks working on a hard-target individual, after all if he's rich he's probably successful, and if he's successful he's probably quite crafty and will just ignore their bleats.

the argument about two wrongs not making a right is pure tripe. baiting these people is not a "wrong" by any reasonable standard.

besides, it's too much fun to stop now.

Hi everyone. I've been lurking around here for a few months on and off.... I love all the great stuff you guys do- not only fun(ny), but hopefully helps to slow these scumbags down a bit.

I've been saving some scam emails I've gotten recently... I can't wait to jump in and do some baiting myself.

Something compelled me to come out of lurker status and make an account at that web site and say/type something... What causes that?

All I could come up with, is just as simple as myself,

Not all scammers are African - there are plenty of Russians, Chinese, English, American etc.

Not all baiters are well off Westerners - It is more of a global thing, plus a nutty squirrel, but we try to keep him locked up as much as possible.

We are all just trying to do our little bit to make life hard for them. Maybe along the way we'll save a real victim from sending all their money to one of these parasites, that's what makes me the happiest.
