I want to know if you are willing to follow up this business seriously before I can give you more details about this transaction,I shall be waiting your response and assurance.

He's obviously not even reading your e-mails...lads frustrate me so much... I once wrote one 3 paragraphs on the benefits on forking goats and he still replied to me on script.

Keep at it with the Chinese emails until he runs out of script... at some point he will either respond to you in Chinese or ask you to speak English...

Eitherway, the lad will be intruiged and definitely email you for clarification.

I'll make the Chinese emails longer...he's bound to notice sooner or later.

If they want to scam people, you would think the least they can do is make an effort to read replies. Rolling Eyes

Look at the lads email and there is a list of info that he is requesting. Make sure that part of your chinese reply is similarly formatted, so it looks like you are complying. After the umpteenth time, send back your chinese email with one line in English saying why do you keep asking for info that I have already supplied. When he replies back he needs it in English say that some of the info has no English equivalent, so you are unable to translate it.

surely it's racist to say just because he has a chinese name he should be able to understand chinese! He may have been born anywhere... Nigeria, or Cote'd'Ivoir for example.

I bait using a Chinese persona most of the time, and I've found it's really difficult to keep conversation going with a "Chinese" lad for any time at all. I'm sure this is because they know how likely they are to be discovered by someone who actually knows about the language and culture.

The way it would work is that the catcher sees that you have responded and sends the next mail. He doesn't bother to read what you have written. Usually that only lasts for two or three emails, but the Russian ladettes can go for six or more exchanges without reading anything. Less than 50% of lads read your first reply.

At some point either he or the next lad up the chain need something from you - either a form filled in or an MTCN. That's when they start reading your mails, and when they may then go back and read what you wrote before. Whereupon they get several emails of weirdness in one hit.

You get the effect that you can write stuff as wild as you like and they still keep replying. Then suddenly they're gone and you don't know why. In fact if you are not aware of the phenomenon you keep upping the weirdness trying to get the lad to register it, so when he does finally read everything you wrote he drops you so fast you get friction burns.

The moral of the story is to straight-bait until you are sure they are reading what you are writing, and they are buying in to it.

I tried replying in Chinese as well to lads who purport to be in Hong Kong. They usually don't bother to respond. But on one occasion I took the same tack you did -- I kept replying in Chinese to scripted instructions. One lad apparently got lost from his script and asked me to use traditional rather than simplified characters. And he claimed to be on the Mainland (Shanghai)!

Which Chinese word processer do you use? I have the free North Star program, which is rather rudimentary.

The way you deal with these types of lads, is to reply in bad English which gradually gets worse over time.
There are oodles (and noddles) of opportunities for misunderstandings and mistakes. Wink

I think you should reply in Chinese, but somwhere in the middle of the script write ...Western Union... in English, and perhaps "$500", to see if that piques their interest.

After all, we know there's only one thing a Lad wants, right?
