I realise this is away from our main focus, but is there any way of getting at the originators of the scam banking emails saying an irregularity has been found in my account and will I contact them on... (a url, not an email address.) The one I have just received displays this in properties...

Those are standard phishing emails, and as you realize, we don't deal with them here. However, Paypal, Ebay, and the majority of banks do have staff or contracted firms to address these (ultimately phishing causes them to lose money, too) so the best thing to do is to go to the real bank's website, find the address for reporting scam, and forward the email with full headers. Not all will respond to you, but they will get these sites closed down.
