I'm assuming he means $3,560, but that doesn't matter to me. (He makes multiple references to that amount in his email.)

One Lad helpfully broke down his fee thus at behest:

I wonder if I should argue about that, or if I should just hand him a (fictitious) WU receipt and watch him complain?

I "sent" a lad $11.00 because he told me I needed to send 1100 euros. When I asked him to convert it for me, he didn't, so I decided that I'd assume it for myself. He never noticed.

I got that once when the lad said to send something like $7.85 USD but in his second email he corrected it. I went off on him trying to increase the fees immensely. I finally agreed to the fees but it took about 2 weeks of arguing. That was funny.

Something I've hit on recently is converting fee payments from $s to £s or €s. But it always seems to be heavily weighted in my favour. So a $1500 (USD) fee only comes to £23.00.

This forces the lad to go and do a currency conversion, something you'll never get them to do if you ask outright. Then you say you will only pay what the current rate is due to the extreme currency (which change hourly) fluctuations at the moment.

By my reckoning your $3.56 fee is only about .084 pence if you pay him in pounds sterling. Very Happy

The fee would be 12GBP, according to WU's online fee calculator. I assume there is a minimum fee.

I'm debating whether to argue about sending $3.56 for 12 pounds, or just to send it. Razz

Maybe try this?:
Tell him you'll just send it in the mail - before mailing the envelope, rip it open, tape it back up.

Nah, I sent it via WU but there were some troubles with M7CN S3cure. So he sent me a bank account that I'll send it to on Monday.
