What is your opinions on the 3 night special they had?

I personally thought it was a flop and the ending was awful, next time get some lads in it

Got to agree Jay. The first part wasn't too bad, but it's got worse over the other 2 parts.

I couldn't believe tonights episode, Was crap I mean I didn't laugh once.

They have killed it, its going to take 10 years to forget about this!

Unfortunately these programs don't improve with re-runs, And it's got to be at least 20 years old. Confused

It lacked the certain magical comical qualities it was famous for, it felt strained and dragged rather than the usual flow it had before.

It felt like a tired shadow of its former self, in fact it almost looked like an amateur portrait of itself.

They might not have died at the end, but the show certainly did.

Red Dwarf, along with the state of New Mexico make me physically sick.

I saw an advert for it once, and nearly died. From shock, and, frankly disgust. Just like the Wikipedia entries for New Mexico. My, those pictures are DEPRESSING.

So does that mean that Red Dwarf has 20 seasons? Have you ever seen the American versions?

^^Red Dwarf has 8 seasons, 9 if you count the new 3 ep run. IIRC the American version never made it past the pilot as it was so awful, Robert Llewellyn was the only Brit member of the cast to appear in the US version. I thought the first of the new epsiodes was great, the second dragged (the Coronation St idea was awful) but it picked up again for the final ep so I hope they start a new series, just bring back Rob Grant to co-write them. The fact that it got over 2 million viewers on a minor channel like Dave means that this is almost certain.

I personally LOVE RED DWARF!!! I try to watch an episode everyday.. Was disappointed with Series VII.. I think it recovered a tad in Series VIII. I have not watched the Easter special though (Being from South Africa and all).. Am a bit sad reading all the negative comments about it though... Was it really that bad?

Missed it, I don't have that Dave channel. Could it have been as bad as the American pilot? It used to be on youtube, can't find it now, although I didn't look too hard... it was that bad!

^^it was no way near as bad as the US pilot, that was just terrible. I think it's getting an unfair rap by people who have forgotten that time has moved on, there were some good tie ins with older epsiodes and the ending was clever.
