Based on the response I got, I'm guessing that, while Vlads don't read the e-mails they get back, they probably do at least glance at them to make sure their victim is chattering away happily. A short, terse reply probably merits a little personal attention, at least until you're satisfied and get back to chattering away happily, and they can return to the script.

Either that, or I just got lucky. That's certainly possible.

Well, I got exactly the same confused response as before, only with the subject "Privetik" in Cyrillic letters. Babelfish didn't recognize the word. So, I respond...

Yes, very true, what you can do however is insist that your having problems receiving emails from gmail, ask her to email you from yahoo to see if it fixes the problem.

Gmail headers are not completely useless but almost so and no, unless you can get your vlad using a non IP stripping email they are useless

As for tacking onto other scripts, if you like yes but the general rule I go by it to add on if it is soon after, create a new post if it is a while after, anybody following along will be notified that you have updated but not if you have edited so they may miss your edits

^^^ I myself have forgotten how to do it, but in photoshop you can use (I think) a hard light feature at about 50% to get a totally see through, but totally readable scammer across your pic. I'd be impressed if they scammed using my character's pic, it's of a transexual!

@ Bombast, your picture editing technique is fine

There are many ways to do it, I have recently leart about a way to make it look professional using this tool http://www.pixelrig.com/pix/ which appears to be out of service for the moment, also photobucket has an edit feature where you can write on teh picture free hand which may not look as professional but it does allow you to write exactly where you want to

You can see the difference here, first with pixelrig;

And this one is using photobucket editing;

Also note that photobucket editing also allows you to adjust the picture size if it is bigger than the allowed 600 pixels wide

and lastly, the photo searching software such as www.tineye.com or www.scamdigger.com will still find edited pictures if they are in the searchable databases

That seems about the right speed on their part - for female vlads - they get to the point MONEY...

you still haven't gotten it off script - work on that - ask her what her likes and dislikes are, things that aren't in her letter...and keep asking those questions...make it answer your direct questions...

I am a female messing with lads - I know they say "I love you" within an e-mail or two...that seems to be common...I just tell them they can't love me yet, we don't know each other -- then they come back with things like "what's your favorite color", "song", etc... like that is going to get me to know them...

I played a male (messing with ladettes) and was shocked at how fast they want you to love them/send them money ...

I had one that logged on said "are you ready to get me out of here" and when I was trying to type a response she'd say "ok bye" and log out...wouldn't let me say yes or no...

It's just funny and perplexing to see her spew all this mushy stuff at me when she doesn't really know anything about me except that I get kind of grumpy when she won't answer my questions. I mean, I kind of knew it'd go like that, but I guess nothing really prepares you for the surreality of it until you give it a try.
