I have been working this lad for about a month and half and I sent him the picture that says removed by homeland security as the MG reciept well he writes me today saying he got it and he just needs me to come down and sign the papers. Is he just stupid or is this a badger messing with me?

Lots of lads don't really care about the ID, they just want willing victims.

Badgers are extremely rare.

This is actually completely normal and common lad behavior. In fact this happens with MOST of my baits. The lads don't really care about any of the documents or ID's etc that you send them...they only try to get you to send them to make their story seem more realistic, and so they'll see that you've bought into the fantasy. If they can't download whatever it is you send them, they usually just assume it's their own mistake and don't bother pressing you. They're trying to move you forward to the payment, so it wouldn't be in their best interest to spend time futzing over files that won't open.

I usually send a huge .dll file renamed as a jpg, which takes some time for their computers to download, and then it looks like a technical glitch of some sort that they can't actually open it. In the vast majority of cases, the lads will just happily say they got the document, and move on to trying to get me to Western Union.

In addition to the other responses, many of the lads are on very slow internet connections and really don't want to use their precious cafe time downloading something that is meaningless to them. This makes them practical, not idiots.

As redshoes says, the idiots are the ones having their snaps taken of themselves holding watermelons up to their faces - not the ones that dont check the validity of your attached or in this case non-attached ID. Your lad is infact quite normal, when faced with the decision to either pursue the ID matter or move things along to the payment stages, he's went for the cash. Not exactly foolish behaviour im sure you will agree.

in accord with the above do the longer serving baiters think that the Lads are becoming more aware of the opportunity that for the victim to supply proof of this and that if he is hoping to spot a Baiter.? or just following their own Modality..

Lads don't understand the concept of baiting at all. They understand jokesters and they know some people try to have them on. Victims come in all shapes and sizes as do lads.

If a lad is smelling the money he is likely to continue the correspondence for a while. Some lads will send you the same scripted reply over and over and if you do not comply will be quick to drop you. Other lads don't have a problem going off script.

yeah, thanx redshoes Being fairly new hear i still find it hard to believe that they fail to grasp the concept of being baited. They meet eachother on a daily basis in the Cafe's and no doubt socialise together and it staggers me that they are given Trophy tasks by us Tattoo's, fish on the head church Modalities - the list is endless and they do not catch on and instantly drop the baiter because jobo down the road has had this done to him with zero results. I think about this nearly every day and kindof shake my head in amazement... i was chatting today to a fellow baiter and this came up almost straight away.. one thing i do see in all of this is that greed does make them incredibly gullible.I have no idea of the success rate of a baiter who once he has got his lad off script that over time can convince him to do virtually anything. By what i read on here daily it must be 90+%
Oh and ending the bait leaving them thinking if only, must counter a lot of my above comments.

I don't believe the success rate is anywhere near 90%. You don't read about all of the failed baits, what would be the fun in that?

Lads send out thousands upon thousands of emails hoping to catch one or two victims. Some of the safari baiters have sent thousands of emails to lads to find ONE willing to safari.

Don't give up if your first several dozen lads aren't willing to go off script for you.

K thanks for that, i do feel that every day baiting an individual you do seem to start to get a feel for how far you can push him and then build him up ready to take the next step and push him on again. I have not lost a Lad yet (except a security concern so i dropped him) and i have 5 on the go still and i find it quite hard but as long as im learning and they are not then i can only improve with experience.

Regarding your thoughts on how they dont catch on to our ploys, you have to think logically. Say you had been duped into having your picture taken being slapped across the face with a dead fish, would you eagerly mention it to your friends and work colleagues ?

Sid, It sounds like you are doing it the right way. That's how lad's suck in their victims, step by step and that's how baiters suck in the lads.

yes i can remember my first few emails with expectant Safari's within 24 hours written all over them, and quickly realising that they will need a little more work and take a bit longer to accomplish the objective.

Reading your posts sid reminds me of myself when I first turned up here. Some things come with reading, some with mentor's advice. But the things you are bringing up come with experience in dealing with scammers. You are asking the right questions and thinking about the wider picture and all you really need is experience on the front lines. Its encouraging to read and I predict a very positive and constructive future for you the way you are going and how you question not just how a scammer thinks, but why he thinks the way he does.

Keep on questioning everything and shape your own perspective on scamming and baiting. The more information and knowledge you gain, the more effective a baiter you will be. The realisation that safari's dont happen overnight is significant - it marks your sort of 'waking up' to the fact that our more illustrious baiters done a massive amount of spade work and got rejected by hundreds if not thousands before landing that one special lad. At that point, most of eater's inductee's bail thinking it was easy. Its good that you stayed, it shows you have what it takes to work at a great bait and not just expect it to fall into your lap.
