Hello all!! I've been reading for the past few days and thought I would register and say hi. I've never baited before, in fact I rarely get scam emails. My real gmail account does a pretty good job of filtering everything out. But, I went back through my old yahoo account that I stopped using a year or so ago because of the spam problem and it was filled with good stuff.
Anyway, I was thinking of getting my feet wet, but I want to make sure its safe and all that. Do some research, create some fun characters, organize my thoughts, and get some tips from the veterans.
I just created a new gmail account to use for this. Signed up as M1ch3al Y. H<nt (think Porky's). Anyway, is this too obvious? I'm off to check out the tips. Maybe next week I'll start my first bait.

No, it isn't too obvious. Of course, you'll get less replies to Mike Hunt than to John Smith, but lads will believe anything. I have characters called (residing in ), , and . So your character definitely isn't too obvious... 
P.S. You might want to mask or 1337ify , as it's quite a specific name, and you wouldn't want a lad to google that name and come to this site - you'd end up losing him. You only need to do this for the public parts of the site, like here. |
