My First Succesful Bait (the story so far)

i know i may have spent a bit too much time with this bait on some of the replies but it was my first one that got somewhere and i was trying some things out. The mails are in quotes with my comments outside of them.

she's picked up on the bar thing from my posts. also this is where the scam part begins, with a handoff to another person. a light slap is in order i think to get her back onto my track.

This is where the story takes a bit of a turn. You see I had gotten really busy with uni around this time and sadly my baiting hobby had to be stopped for a while. We pick this back up 3 months later when i sent the following e-mail to my best pet. I was not expecting much as you can see from the letter but kinda hoping for it.

my pet really bought the story. i was overjoyed. i didn't have to start from scratch with a new pet.

and we're back to the brother again. i wonder if another light slap will bring her around, again.

Anyway that's where i stand at the moment.

My plans for this bait are:
- To let her know about an insurance payout i will have coming. It will however get caught up in legal matters for a while of course.
- To have a "friend" mail her asking who she is and if she is genuine.
- Of course once the insurance money comes in, if at all, western union is so far away in the big city from the outback and it takes a day there and back to give the wrong details.
- Hopefully i can also get a dollar chop in there as well. I;'ll have to read up on them to see how best to execute, but that's a while off anyway.

Anyone have any advice on a better wy to go or any comments on how i've gone so far?

Hi Xenu, being in Queensland, your time is 1 hour behind mine so I just had a quick skim through

The first comments are not really in relation to your bait but more your posting of it.

Firstly, dont take it as critism but dont be too paranoid about hiding all of the details, you only really need to hide 1 letter in a lad name and if your bait charactor has a common name, dont bother at all, it just makes it a little easier for us to read

Second, never be shy to post your baits, even the ones that may not be so successful, even failed baits are good to share with others, both so we can give advice but also it may give others including the more experienced some ideas while allowing you to get feedback from the start of your bait

The next thing you can do if you want to keep some real victims away from your pet is to post the scammers emails at Scamwarners, you will soon work out the scripted emails from the personalised ones, dont bother with anything that is just for you but the early emails in particular may prevent a scam victim.

Preventing a scam vic has 2 distinct advantages
1, the obvious advantage of one less person having been scammed, now obviously that is our main aim here, as much as we may tell you it is all about entertainment and having fun, we are actually preventing some people from losing money to scammers just by baiting them

The second reason is if your pet loses a victim, he will try harder to please you making for a much more compliant mugu and we all know how much fun it is to truly own one of these vermin

I wont comment on your actual bait right now as I need to get some sleep and dont feel my quick skim would give you accurate feedback but I will take another look some time tomorrow and see if I can add anything to the other advice you are bound to receive

Welcome Xenu, and nice going,
You have to be doing something right if you can pick them up after 3 months. As Murry said, don't worry about trying to disguise names, It bears no resemblance to yourself and is simply a character. As a woman make them beg for photo's. but insist they send you one.
Which you can then post on here and Scamwarners, together with the e-mail headers, so there location can be tracked or compared with a fellow baiters info.

Are you saying we should post photographs we are sent by scammers even when we think they are stolen ones?

One of those I received made me go weak at the knees!

yes it can help to post the pictures they use, we prefer to write on the pictures first, "used by scammers" by doing so it make sit harder for a visiting lad to recycle them and it is a lot more accurate

For the person in the photo, they are completely innocent in all but a few cases but now that their photos are being used to scam the only way we can make it less attractive for their pictures to be used is to post them with the note, used by scammer
