Bananas are best when eaten with peanut butter that has then been drizzled with honey. who CARES about medicinal qualities? protein with bee barf and beautiful tasty naner's

About calories, celery is supposed to be the only food in the western diet that takes more calories to eat, than it has in it.

STROKE IDENTIFICATION

It only takes a minute to read this...

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE

Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR . Read and remember!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S Ask the individual to SMILE.
T Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (i.e. It is sunny out today)
R Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call an emergency number immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue

NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue.. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other,that is also an indication of a stroke.

Not being normal myself I tried it, and I loved it. A banana chocolate crumbs/flakes sandwich is nice too.

@ Dutch : Nope, haven't had a chance to try it yet, as I have been busy babysitting a couple of drunks and trying to keep them from going Psychotic assholes. Don'tcha just love stupid drunks? But the one saving grace today, is that little pleasures like the peanut butter and the chocolate fun mixes make life fun again. Very Happy

I'm healthier than I thought. Very Happy

I've inherited high colesterol and in two months time I have brought my bad cholesterol down from 297 to 205.

Doc also sent me to have the arteries checked in my neck and a chest x-ray. They came back normal. jump_4_joy

Now, I need to set up an appointment for a colonoscopy. Mad

I'm 92 and never had one. Laughing

you have my condolences, Corona. just had VA do tests on me for cholesterol and have come down from 169 to 113. I have had the camera butt shove and I informed my doctor that the SOB doing this next one better have one hell of a better bedside manner when shoving that camera up my butt or he was going to get the shit choked and beaten out of himself. And, my friend, I am deadly with a stout wooden cane. They suggested that I be knocked out for the procedure-- sure, says i, but not until I memorize his face. the doc wrote a note of warning for the other one. that's nice of him to do, but it won't save the other doc if he screws up.
