Hi all,

I wonder if any of you have had something similar to this.

I've been talking to a beautiful girl - ok, i've been baiting a vlad - for just over 5 months now. About the first 2 months was just script, but I got him off script and kept waiting for the money request, and kept waiting, and kept waiting.

Only a week ago she tells me that her boss in work is looking for somebody responsible to do business with. Yes you've got it, the straightforward 419 scam. I get an e-mail from her boss, with the bog standard info of millions of dollars that I can help them with.

Has anybody heard of this? Because I've wasted 5 months of his time just to get to the point where the Lads normally jump in straight away.

And of course, to maintain my trust in her boss, she's going to have to keep writing me long romantic letters Wink

Oh and it goes without saying her boss is going to get the runaround too Very Happy

Which really makes me wonder what's going on. We all know vlads are lazy, so this is an awful lot of time to spend on a setup. My only thought is that mr vlad thinks it is worthwhile to try and gain my trust so that when the offer of millions of pounds comes along it is not just out of the blue, but from a "trustworthy" source.

Any thoughts anyone?

Are you sure its a vlad?
Did you check the email headers?

If they are using scripts 5 months is nothing really. The money request has come in. Vlads are slow to get to the point. A computer is reading your responses. Lad's on the other hand are responding in person with all their laddishness.

Now you have the request for money you have been passed up the chain and a real live person maybe reading your responses. Game on. Be careful they spook easily and will drop at the first sign of foolishness.

They're using g-mail, so the location is stripped.

But you get a feel for the language they use, and this is definitely vlad.

My point was that they were on script for the first 2 months, and off script for the last 3 months. Now if all the 5 months were script then I would agree it's probably an automated response with little work needed, but this vlad has been answering my questions and completely off script for 3 months. Now that is a lot more like hard work, and time consuming Very Happy

I almost feel sorry for all the effort he's put in - NOT Wink

Did you check the headers for The Bat!, Becky, or Voyager?

IF they are, they IP is not stripped. Just asking. Some people assume 'Gmail, not worth looking at header'.
